According to WABetainfo, WhatsApp will be adding a Quick Edit Media button for the images shared and received across the messaging platform. Well, this isn’t any significant new feature in the messaging platform, but it could save your time to edit and share the image across your contacts quickly. Meaning, currently WhatsApp allows images to be edited while you’re adding the image directly from the Phone’s Gallery but what it doesn’t allow is that when you send or receive an image across Chats, it isn’t possible to quickly edit and send to others; instead, you need to follow the process aforementioned.
To fix this, and to further save your multiple steps and time to share a received or sent image, WhatsApp is adding the Quick Edit media option on the share page where you can edit like — cropping, doodling, adding an emoticon or whatsoever directly instead of going through the above-mentioned steps. As stated earlier, this new feature is currently in the works by WhatsApp and the screenshot images shared in the report reveals us that we could be expecting with this new feature for both Android and iOS platforms.
Meanwhile, there’s a new feature in the pipeline for WhatsApp, which is a QR Code scanner feature that has also been spotted by WABetainfo early this month. The new feature is pretty much expected to be working similar to another Facebook-owned messaging service — the Messenger’s QR Code feature. It helps in adding or sharing your unique QR Code to add a person to your contacts for the messaging platform.
