This feature is expected to be implemented in the next update and WhatsApp is also rumored to be working on implementing Face ID and Touch ID for iOS. There is a section in the application where the users will be able to enable the fingerprint authentication feature on their device and once it is enabled it needs to be authenticated by using the identity of the user to open the application or even a specific conversation.

Furthermore, the users will be able to enter into the application using the lock screen credentials in case of the application is not able to detect the fingerprint of the user. This new feature is currently in Alpha stage development and it will be made available in the future of Android smartphones running on Marshmallow or above and it should have a fingerprint sensor of-course!

This will be a very important feature for those who want to keep certain chats of their to be private and they can lock only that particular chat. Moreover, WhatsApp is also said to be working on improving the audio picker feature and a newly redesigned section will be listing all the available audio files stored in the phone. The users can also play the file before sending it to anyone and more than one file can be sent
